The Sindh government has imposed new restrictions to curb the spread of corona virus in the province, which aims to curb the mass movement of people. The decision to impose new restrictions was taken under the chairmanship of Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah. Coronavirus provincial task force meeting.
The Chief Minister Sindh also directed the Deputy Commissioners and Senior Superintendent of Police (SSPs) to ensure implementation of the restrictions imposed by the government. Business centers will remain closed on Friday and Sunday and if working hours are violated. Then action will be taken.
From 8pm tomorrow, people will not be allowed to roam the city unnecessarily, but they can leave their homes due to hospital or urgent work.
Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah said that if we fully implement the restrictions imposed for 2 weeks then it will be easier to move forward and if the people cooperate then after 2 weeks the cases will be reduced after which we can move towards rehabilitation Are
The Chief Minister said that he would make surprise visits without prior notice to review the implementation of the sanctions. He also directed the IG Sindh to stop the people from moving in vehicles unnecessarily.
In the meeting of Corona Task Force, the Chief Minister Sindh said that 50% of all active cases in the country are in Sindh. The highest number of complaints of SOPs are being received from East District and Central District of Karachi.
Therefore, the Sindh Chief Minister directed the Commissioner Karachi to ensure implementation of SOPs in the city in all cases.
The meeting was briefed that as a result of tests conducted for the diagnosis of corona in Karachi East, 21%, 16% in Karachi South and 10% in Karachi Central cases came back positive.
Similarly, the rate of positive cases in Hyderabad is 11%, in Dadu 10% and in Sukkur 8%.
The meeting was informed that in the last 24 hours, 90 patients were admitted to hospitals in Karachi, 71 on ventilators and 604 on oxygen. On the other hand, 83 patients were admitted in Multan, 177 in Lahore and 31 in Islamabad. ۔
At the same time, the Sindh Chief Minister directed the Minister for Labor and Industry to carry out large scale vaccination in industrial areas with the help of industrialists.
The Corona Task Force meeting was attended by Provincial Ministers, Dr. Azra Fazal Pechoho, Saeed Ghani, Jam Ikramullah Dharijo, Chief Secretary, IG Police, Additional Chief Secretary Home, Commissioner Karachi, Additional IG Karachi, Principal Secretary, Provincial Secretaries, Finance, School Education, Industries, Health, Dr. Bari, Dr. Sajjad Qaiser, Dr. Sarah of WHO and other concerned officers participated.
It may be recalled that the situation in Sindh province was under complete control during the third wave of the virus in the country, however, the spread of the epidemic in the province has been increasing since Eid.
Despite the lifting of the restrictions imposed by the National Command and Operations Center on the occasion of Eid, the Sindh government had announced to continue their implementation for two more weeks and tighten them.
In the last 24 hours, 1,529 cases were reported in the province while 11 more people died. So far, 39,467 corona cases and 4920 deaths have been reported in Sindh.
