Karachi: On the 75th Independence Day of Pakistan, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah and Acting Governor Agha Siraj Durrani visited Mazar Quaid and hoisted the flag.
The Chief Minister of Sindh was accompanied by cabinet members and senior officials, Agha Siraj Durrani and Murad Ali Shah recited Fatiha and laid wreaths while the Governor and Chief Minister entered their comments in the guest book.
The National Anthem was played by the Pakistan Navy band at Mazar-i-Quaid.
Acting Governor Sindh Agha Siraj Khan Durrani and Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah spoke to the media. The Acting Governor said that our elders have made countless sacrifices for the sake of our dear homeland, we should thank Allah Almighty for giving us an independent state.
In the beginning, Siraj Durrani said that we have to work together for the development of the country in the light of 75 years of experience, we have to work tirelessly as a united nation following the ideas of the founder of Pakistan, while we have to work tirelessly to achieve national goals. Achieving this has to be done with unity, harmony and complete uniformity.
Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah said that he has paid homage to the Father of the Nation, Quaid-e-Azam, and Kashmiri brothers should not be forgotten today.
He said that Pakistan’s flag was taken down yesterday for the PTI rally in Lahore, which we condemn.
