Shaukat Tareen gets Senate ticket, ruling party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf issues Senate ticket to financial adviser Shaukat Tareen Senate elections will be fought on the ticket.
According to details, Shaukat Tareen will be the first senator to be elected as the finance minister for which Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has issued a ticket to make him a senator. PTI Secretary General Amir Kayani issued the ticket after signing.
Shaukat Tareen will contest Senate elections from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on PTI ticket. The Finance Adviser will submit his nomination papers tomorrow. After being elected senator, Shaukat Tareen will be sworn in as Federal Minister again. It is to be noted that the last date for submission of nomination papers for the Senate seat is tomorrow and Shaukat Tareen will submit his nomination papers tomorrow while polling for the vacant Senate seat will be held on December 20.
It may be recalled that the Election Commission of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has announced the election schedule for the vacant seat due to the resignation of Senator Muhammad Ayub. Polling for the vacant Senate seat will be held on December 20. According to the Election Commission, the last date for submission of nomination papers is December 2, 2021. The list of candidates for submission of nomination papers will be released on December 11. On the other hand, PML-N MPA Ikhtiar Wali said that he would submit objections on Shaukat Tareen because how can a Senate candidate be from outside the province and after submitting nomination papers he would submit these objections while participating in Senate elections. Consultation on taking is ongoing.
