Brisbane : National cricket team’s fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi hit Afghan batsman Rahmanullah Garbaz with a yorker in the warm-up match before the T20 World Cup and sent him to the hospital.
In the warm-up match against Afghanistan, Shaheen Afridi had put Afghan openers Hazratullah Zazai and Rahmanullah Garbaz on the backfoot. The umpire declared him out.
Physio’s rushed to the ground to treat the Afghan cricketer, but Garbaz had difficulty walking and was carried off the field by the substitute fielder.

Rehmanullah Garbaz has been taken to a nearby hospital for a scan on his left foot, after which an update will be given regarding his injury.
On the other hand, Afghanistan have to play their first match against England in the Super 12 stage of the T20 World Cup.

It should be noted that in the warm-up match, Afghanistan scored 154 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in the scheduled 20 overs while batting first, while Shaheen Afridi and Haris Rauf took 2 and 2 wickets respectively.
Chasing the target, Pakistan’s openers scored 19 runs in 2.2 overs, but play was stopped due to continuous rain.
