Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif’s request for permanent attendance pardon in Ramzan Sugar Mills case was accepted, accountability court delivered safe verdict.
Accountability court in Lahore heard the Ramzan Sugar Mills reference against Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Chief Minister Hamza Shahbaz. Shahbaz Sharif appeared before the court and completed his attendance. Shahbaz Sharif’s lawyer requested that Shahbaz Sharif’s representative Muhammad Nawaz be appointed to appear before him. Shahbaz Sharif is the Prime Minister of Pakistan. He never misused bail.
Shahbaz Sharif, while stating his position before the esteemed court, said that he did not file an unwarranted attendance pardon application, national responsibilities have to be fulfilled, if the attendance pardon request is rejected, he will still appear, the facts of my development works are before you. Are He further said that I imposed tax on sugarcane ethanol, the owners of sugar mills filed a petition in the High Court, my son’s sugar mill also where ethanol was taxed, my son’s sugar mill suffered a loss of Rs 2.5 billion.
The NAB prosecutor opposed Shahbaz Sharif’s request for permanent attendance pardon, saying that there were no compelling reasons for granting permanent attendance pardon to Shahbaz Sharif. Accountability court judge Sajid Awan reserved judgment on the completion of the arguments of the lawyers, who later granted the apology.
