The media director of the Saudi embassy has stated that several Pakistanis have been arrested in the incident that took place in Masjid Nabavi, some of them have been arrested for violating the law and insulting the holy places.
The Saudi embassy in Pakistan has reacted to the chanting of slogans and government action in the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah.
According to a statement issued by the media director of the Saudi embassy in Pakistan, some of the arrested persons have been arrested for violating the law and desecrating holy places.
It may be recalled that last night, a group of Pakistani pilgrims, during a three-day visit to Saudi Arabia, insulted Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and his associates at the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah and chanted slogans against them.
The Prime Minister along with his delegation arrived in Saudi Arabia yesterday at the invitation of Saudi Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman.
He was accompanied by Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Muftah Ismail, Nawabzada Shah Zain Bugti, Maryam Aurangzeb, Khawaja Asif, Chaudhry Salik Hussain, Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Mohsin Dawar and Maulana Tahir Ashrafi among others.
However, tragic scenes were witnessed in Masjid-e-Nabawi yesterday when Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and his delegation arrived there. Start installing.
