ISLAMABAD: Senior Vice President of ARY News and journalist Imad Yusuf has been allegedly arrested from his residence in Karachi, which has been strongly condemned by the journalist community and politicians.
A senior police officer, on condition of anonymity, told Dawn News that an FIR has been registered against some ARY personnel in Mymengoth and a senior official of the channel has been detained in this connection.
ARY News Controller News Siraj Ahmed confirmed the arrest of Imad to Dawn News and said that two police mobiles and some people in a Vigo arrived at Imad’s residence in Karachi’s DHA area at 2:30 am. , these persons entered the house by jumping over the wall and detained the journalist.
