Miranshah:
A young Pakistani soldier was martyred in a “fierce exchange of fire” between terrorists and security forces in the Miranshah area of North Waziristan.
A statement issued by the Pakistan Army Public Relations (ISPR) said that 32-year-old Naik Zahid Ahmad Bahadur, a resident of Charsadda, was martyred while fighting.
The statement further said that a terrorist identified as Ziaullah was also killed in the exchange of fire and arms and ammunition were also recovered from his possession.
It may be recalled that on June 12, a Pak Army soldier was martyred in a fierce exchange of fire with terrorists in Datta Khel area of North Waziristan tribal district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The ISPR had further said that soldier Shahzeb Imtiaz was martyred after a valiant fight. He was 25 years old and a resident of Kotli Satyan.
Earlier this month, security forces killed four terrorists during operations in the North Waziristan tribal district and Noshki district of Balochistan.
According to the ISPR statement, the security forces acted on a tip-off about the presence of terrorists, during which two terrorists were killed in an exchange of fire and weapons and ammunition were recovered from their possession. According to PR, the slain terrorists were involved in attacks on security forces.
On the other hand, two terrorists belonging to Balochistan Republican Army (BRA) Nadeem and Shehzad Alam were killed in an exchange of fire with security forces in Proudh Pahar area near Noshki. EDs were involved in the bombings.
Earlier, on June 5, 2022, security forces killed seven terrorists in Jani Khel area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Bannu district and Hassan Khel district of North Waziristan in response to reports of presence of terrorists.
The ISPR had said that security forces had conducted intelligence-led operation in Jani Khel area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Bannu district and Hassan Khel of North Waziristan district on the information of presence of terrorists.
