Karachi :
According to details, senior PPP leader and Sindh Minister Saeed Ghani has responded to the crisis caused by the closure of petrol pumps across the country. Talking to media on Thursday, Saeed Ghani said that it was feared that petrol would not reach Rs 170 per liter in the next two to three weeks.
The provincial minister alleged that the current petrol crisis seems to be a link in the same chain as the price of petrol was increased by Rs 25 per liter overnight without OGRA’s approval a few months ago. Ames had injected billions of rupees into the people of this country overnight.
Saeed Ghani said that if the provinces had the power to fix the prices of petrol and others, then perhaps the provinces could play their role in controlling this inflation.
It should be noted here that due to the strike of Petroleum Dealers Association on Thursday, it was revealed that petrol was being sold in black in many areas. The strike by the Petroleum Dealers Association is still going on due to which most of the petrol pumps across the country are closed. In this situation, the citizens are facing two problems instead of one. On the one hand, the citizens are facing difficulties in obtaining petroleum products, on the other hand, illegal profiteers have also become active during the closure of petrol pumps.
According to the report of private TV channel Dawn News, illegitimate profiteers are taking full advantage of the situation of closure of petrol pumps. Petrol is being sold at Rs 300 per liter in black. It should be noted that the Petroleum Dealers Association has announced to continue the strike across the country. Information Secretary of the Association Noman Ali Butt said that the government has not yet made any contact for talks. The closure of petrol pumps will continue till the margins increase.
According to private TV channel Hum News, he said in his statement that the Petroleum Dealers Association would continue the strike across the country. No contact has been made by the government for talks so far, further reliance on the government’s verbal assurances would be a joke. The Secretary Information Association said that the closure of petrol pumps across the country would continue till the increase in margins. The government had promised to send a summary on November 3.
Noman Ali Butt said that the government is falsely claiming to continue the supply of oil at petrol pumps. The supply of oil at all petrol pumps belonging to the association has been stopped. On the other hand, Due to the announcement, petrol and diesel have run out due to increase in demand at petrol pumps, due to which the citizens are facing difficulties. The people rushed in search of petrol.
Public transporters also received arbitrary fares. There are about 9,500 petrol pumps across the country. PSO accounts for 70% of the oil business. Almost all the PSO pumps are open. Goke 1000, Shell, Total and Haskol petrol pumps are also open. Fuel supply of Pakistan Oil Tankers Association is also continuing. Traffic jams continue at petrol pumps.
