ISLAMABAD: Nepra has issued a notification to reduce the price of electricity by Rs 4.89 per unit for Karachi while at the same time approving an additional 19 paise per unit for the entire country.
Nepra has issued a notification for approval of electricity reduction of Rs 4.89 paise per unit for K Electric customers, according to which the reduction has been approved for the August monthly fuel charges adjustment.
The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority held a public hearing on the FCA on 29 September 2022. It should be noted that K Electric had requested a reduction of 4 rupees 21 paise per unit.
Meanwhile, Nepra has issued a notification approving the increase of electricity by 19 paise per unit for other cities.
The authority has approved the hike in August monthly fuel charges adjustment of discos. The Authority held a public hearing on the FCA on 29 September 2022. It may be noted that CPPA-G had requested an increase of 22 paise per unit.
