The Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan referred to Islamabad’s close ties with the Islamic Republic of Iran and Saudi Arabia and added that the understanding between Tehran and Riyadh is in the interest of the region and the world so everyone should be convinced of this situation.
Pakistani state television (PTV) quoted Imran Khan as saying in an interview with Rasha Today’s Arabic section during his visit to Tajikistan to attend the Shanghai Summit that the Islamic Republic of Iran is the most civilized country in Pakistan. Neighbors and we live together, mutual trade is better for both countries and the region as a whole.
Referring to Saudi Arabia, the Pakistani Prime Minister described it as a close ally and old friend of Islamabad, adding that Islamabad sincerely wanted reconciliation between Iran and Saudi Arabia, adding that a possible confrontation between Iran and Saudi Arabia. “If this happens, it will be disastrous for Pakistan, not only for us, but also for the developing world, because any conflict between these two big countries affects oil prices,” he said. ۔
Imran Khan further said that due to the spread of Corona virus, there is a shortage of oil supply in the world at present which affects most of the developing countries. He added that there were fears that any confrontation between Iran and Saudi Arabia would have an immediate effect on oil prices, which would be catastrophic for low-income countries around the world.
The Prime Minister of Pakistan said that therefore not only Pakistan but everyone should ensure that there is a better understanding between Iran and Saudi Arabia.
