Lahore: Railway authorities have increased the fares of all classes of trains along with resumption of train operations.
The railway authorities have increased the rate of increase in the fares of all classes of railway trains on the people due to inflation.
According to the notification issued by the railway administration, the fare of the AC sleeper class of the Khyber Mail train running between Karachi and Peshawar via Lahore has been increased to 11 thousand rupees, and the fare of the AC business class has been increased to 8 thousand rupees. The fare of standard class from A has been increased to 7 thousand rupees and the fare of economy class of Khyber Mail train has been increased to 3,000 rupees.
The AC business class fare of the Karakoram Express train running between Faisalabad and Karachi via Lahore has been increased to 7,000 rupees and the economy class fare of the Karakoram train has been increased to 3,000 rupees.
The AC sleeper class fare of the Karachi Express train between Lahore and Karachi has been increased to Rs. 1,000 rupees and the fare of economy class of Karachi Express train has also been increased to 3,000 rupees.
The fare of AC business class of Rehman Baba Express train running between Peshawar to Rawalpindi Faisalabad Karachi has been increased to 7 thousand rupees and the fare of AC standard class has been increased to 5,000 rupees. Economy class fare of Rehman Baba Express train has been increased to Rs.3,000.
The AC business class fare of the Pak Business Express train running between Lahore and Karachi via Sahiwal has also been increased to Rs 7,000. The AC standard class fare has been increased to Rs 5,000. The rent has also been increased to 3,000 rupees.
The increase in all classes of all trains will be applicable from October 2. In this regard, a notification has been issued to all Divisional Superintendents and Divisional Commercial Officers across the country so that the fares of the trains for which the fares have been increased from the in-line and railway reservation offices. Will be received accordingly.
