The formation of Punjab’s provincial cabinet has been further delayed as today’s meeting between PML-N and PPP leaders regarding power sharing in the provincial government was canceled due to unavoidable reasons.
According to media reports, a meeting between the PPP and PML-N delegation on the issue of representation of allied parties in the Punjab provincial government was scheduled to take place at Yousuf Raza Gilani’s residence in Lahore today, which was canceled due to unavoidable reasons.
In this regard, PPP Punjab Parliamentary Leader Hassan Murtaza has said that today’s meeting between PML-N and PPP leaders has been canceled due to unavoidable reasons. Talks in this regard will be held soon.
On the other hand, a consultative meeting of senior PML-N leaders was held in Lahore regarding the formation of Punjab cabinet, in which senior party leaders participated and the names of possible ministers of the provincial cabinet were considered. The top leadership of the party present in the party will be consulted on the issue of the cabinet and from there the cabinet will be finalized only after the green signal. The Asad Khokhar group will also be included.
It may be mentioned that PML-N leader Hamza Shahbaz was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Punjab on April 30. Ashraf took oath of office from Hamza Shahbaz. Meanwhile, PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz, PML-N leader Capt. R Safdar, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah and other federal ministers, Deputy Speaker Punjab Assembly Dost Muhammad Mazari and guests including PML-N. A large number of BJP workers were present in the Governor’s House. N-League workers also chanted slogans on the occasion.
Fawad Chaudhry’s sarcastic statement on the swearing in of Hamza Shahbaz as Punjab Chief Minister came to light in which he said that a wanted person had occupied the grounds of Governor House on the interim bail granted by the police with the help of police. He took oath in a private ceremony and started calling himself Chief Minister. Who will accept this act?
