The Prime Minister has convened an emergency meeting of the political committee. According to sources, the meeting chaired by Prime Minister Imran Khan will be attended by federal ministers while a legal team including Asad Qaiser and Attorney General has also been invited to the meeting.
Sources said that the no-confidence motion will be discussed in the meeting of the political committee and a briefing will be given on the contacts with the allies.
According to sources, preparations for Sunday’s meeting will be reviewed in the meeting and arrangements for the meeting will be finalized.
It is to be noted that the morning session of the Assembly has been adjourned by Speaker Asad Qaiser till Monday. Prayers were offered for the bereaved and other deceased members.
After a prayer of forgiveness by Federal Minister Pir Noor-ul-Haq Qadri, the Speaker National Assembly announced to adjourn the sitting till March 28.
Asad Qaiser said that it is part of the tradition of the National Assembly that if a Member of Parliament has passed away, then the sitting of that day is adjourned for one day and I also sit for one day while maintaining this tradition. Announce the postponement.
It may be recalled that a 15-point agenda of today’s assembly session was also released which included a no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Extraordinary security arrangements were made for the National Assembly session and section 144 was enforced in the red zone and the sensitive area was completely sealed off.
