Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s series of meetings with world leaders on the sidelines during the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York continues.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had a meeting with US Environment Minister John Kerry, US Under Secretary Donald Lowe also participated in the meeting.
Challenges related to climate change were discussed in the meeting.
US Environment Minister John Kerry wrote in a tweet regarding the meeting that he and the Prime Minister discussed the destruction caused by floods, there is a need to work together to deal with the climate crisis.
Earlier, Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif met French President Emmanuel McEwan, on this occasion bilateral relations, regional and international issues were discussed.
Shahbaz Sharif thanked France for its support to Pakistan for GSP Plus.
During the session of the UN Assembly, the Prime Minister met with the Iranian President along with the delegation, in addition to this, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also met the President of Spain, the Chancellor of Austria and the Prime Minister of New Zealand, Jacinda Ardern, and discussed the flood disasters. Supreme Court (Daily Pakistan Online) The Supreme Court rejected the petitions filed in 2015 for approval of resignations of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf as ineffective.
According to private TV “Hum News”, Zafar Ali Shah and Waheed Kamal had filed applications in 2015 for approval of resignations of PTI. Lawyer Hamid Khan said that the matter of resignations of PTI MLAs was from 2013 assembly. Relatedly, the 2013 assembly expired in 2018.
