Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif will pay his first foreign visit to Saudi Arabia on April 27 and will hold meetings with top Saudi officials.
According to media reports, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif will pay a three-day visit to Saudi Arabia where he will meet Salman bin Abdulaziz Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman and other officials and discuss a number of important issues.
It may be recalled that a few days ago, Saudi Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman congratulated Shahbaz Sharif on assuming the office of Prime Minister and the Crown Prince also invited Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif to visit Saudi Arabia.
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif had said that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have fraternal relations and Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif thanked the Saudi Crown Prince for the congratulations.
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif paid rich tributes to Shah Salman bin Abdul Aziz, the trustee of the two holy shrines, and Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman, for their remarkable development of the kingdom under his visionary leadership. Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif thanked Saudi Arabia for its historic and continued support and cooperation in bilateral and international forums. While assuring the Crown Prince that Pakistan will always stand by the state.
On the other hand, PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz approached the court seeking permission to go abroad. PML-N Central Vice President Maryam Nawaz has filed a petition in the Lahore High Court seeking to go abroad, stating that NAB had arrested Chaudhry in the Sugar Mills case in 2019 and later the Lahore High Court granted bail. However, I have surrendered my passport on the order of the court. Now I want to go to London to take care of my sick father Nawaz Sharif. Besides, I also want to go to Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah but I cannot go abroad because I do not have a passport. Lahore High Court orders return of my passport.
