President Dr. Arif Alawi wrote a letter to Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, expressing concern over the violent attacks on Al-Aqsa Mosque by the occupying Israeli army during the holy month of Ramadan, and wishing the Palestinian President and people well. ۔
The President expressed his condolences to the victims of the attacks and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured and told the Palestinian President that his Pakistani brothers and sisters share in his grief over the killing of innocent children and Palestinians. And Pakistan strongly condemns Israeli violence and illegal actions against the Palestinians.
“Israeli actions are against human rights, international law and human values. We will continue to speak out for the rights of the Palestinians, and we will continue our efforts to mobilize the international community for the rights of the Palestinians,” he said.
The President said that Pakistan is in favor of an independent, sustainable and geographically connected Palestinian state in accordance with the resolutions of the Security Council. Pakistan supports the pre-1967 border and Al-Quds Sharif as the Palestinian capital.
