ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif directed to reduce load shedding in summer and not to switch off electricity during Suhar and Iftar during Ramadan.
Under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, a review meeting was held on various projects of electricity supply and power sector in the summer of this year. That no load shedding should be done during Suhoor and Iftar during Ramadan, while the speed of solarization of government buildings should be accelerated.
The Prime Minister expressed his indignation over the slowness in the process of laying the Thar Matiari 500 KV transmission line and said that why this work was not completed within the stipulated period, departmental action should be taken against the officers guilty of negligence in the project. Shahbaz Sharif also directed the restructuring of the NTDC Board.
