According to details, in a statement released on the social networking site Twitter, the Prime Minister took note of the legitimate demands of hardworking fishermen in Gwadar. In his tweet, the Prime Minister wrote that strict action would be taken against illegal fishing through trawlers ۔
It is to be noted that the fishermen in Gwadar have been protesting for the last several days in Balochistan under the name of Haq Do. The protests are being led by Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman. There are three major problems, the foremost of which is trawling, which the government has banned up to 12 nautical miles at sea.
Their second problem is trade across the border, which used to run on a token system, where people used to bring Iranian oil and edible oil, etc., which is now closed. The third problem is the boats seized by the Coast Guard. Those who have been detained or whose vehicles have been impounded are now in large numbers in the sit-in, who want a solution to their problems.
