The National Flood Response Coordination Center (NFRCC) in its statement confirmed these figures and said that 17 people have been injured due to floods in the last 24 hours while the total number of injured reported so far. The number has become 12 thousand 720.
The statement further said that rain with thundershowers is likely over the adjacent mountains along with parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan today, while the weather is expected to remain hot and humid in other parts of the country.
This morning, NFRCC Deputy Chairperson Ahsan Iqbal and Forum Coordinator Major General Zafar Iqbal presided over a forum meeting to review the flood situation.
Federal Minister for Planning, Development, Reforms and Special Measures Prof. Ahsan Iqbal said that the first priority of the government is to help the flood victims, which has been ongoing since the first day and the entire nation stands with the affected people to deal with this challenge.
He said that several diseases have emerged from the flood-affected areas, especially water-borne diseases, which will further increase the difficulties of the affected people.
He expressed these views in the meeting of the National Flood Response Coordination Center under his chairmanship, the progress in flood relief activities was reviewed in the meeting.
The Federal Minister directed the National Disaster Management Authority NDMA and the Provincial Disaster Management Authorities to speed up the survey for the rehabilitation of the flood affected areas. Other relevant stakeholders participated.

However, the federal government is providing these resources for the victims in all four provinces, Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir, the provinces are also providing from their own resources.
Shahbaz Sharif said that they also need to provide more resources, the Prime Minister said that through NDM, 2 lakh tents will be provided to the four provinces according to the size of the losses. He said that NHA, Minister and Secretary Communications are working day and night to restore the affected highways.
He said that the areas where the water is standing are facing the challenge of epidemics, providing health facilities and rebuilding the affected areas will require trillions of rupees.
