ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has sent the second summary of appointment of Baligh-ur-Rehman as Governor Punjab to President Dr Arif Alv.
On May 7 this month, on the advice of Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, the name of Baligh-ur-Rehman belonging to PML-N was sent to the President for the Governor of Punjab. Omar Sarfraz Cheema is still holding the post of Governor of Punjab, there is no justification for the new appointment, under Article 101 (2) of the Constitution Circumstances in the country require that the incumbent Governor remain in office, with Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif reviewing his advice regarding the appointment of the Governor of Punjab in accordance with Article 48 (1) of the Constitution.

On the other hand, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has once again sent a summary of the appointment of Baligh-ur-Rehman as the Governor of Punjab to President Arif Alvi. In which Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that Baligh-ur-Rehman is suitable for the new governor of Punjab.
It may be recalled that last month, the previous government had sacked Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar and appointed Omar Sarfraz Cheema as its governor. Omar Cheema created many difficulties for the new PML-N government and refused to take oath from Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shahbaz.
