Karachi :
Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has resumed its Kuwait operation, with two weekly flights.
Pakistan International Airlines is launching flight operations with 2 weekly flights. Kuwait had imposed a self-imposed ban on Pakistani planes and pilots. Due to the ban, PIA flights could not go to Kuwait.
On the other hand, Kuwaiti Airlines was flying freely to Pakistan, but now PIA has resumed its flights to Kuwait. The operation was facilitated by the efforts of the Foreign Ministry, the Pakistani and Kuwaiti ambassadors. The PIA will continue to work tirelessly to help Pakistanis.
It may be recalled that the issue of ban was raised by the PIA at the diplomatic level but permission was not granted. Under pressure from Pakistan, the national airline was also allowed to operate in Kuwait.
