ISLAMABAD: The continuous rise in fuel and dollar prices has led to further increase in fares at home and abroad.
According to airline sources, domestic and foreign airlines have increased fares for domestic and international flights by 25 percent. Bilateral fares for flights from Lahore to Dubai, Sharjah, Karachi, Toronto, Dammam and Saudi Arabia have been increased.
PIA’s two-way fare from Lahore to Karachi was Rs 64,150 while the executive economy class two-way fare was Rs 85,930.
From Karachi, PIA’s economy class bilateral fare for Islamabad exceeded Rs 46,600 while executive economy class bilateral fare exceeded Rs 76,000.
Similarly, the two-way fare of PIA from Lahore to Toronto has been increased from Rs. 458,716 while the two-way fare of Executive Economy Class has been increased from Rs. 667,000.
PIA’s economy class fare from Lahore to Sharjah increased to Rs. 113,000 to Rs.
PIA’s economy class fare from Lahore to Dammam has reached Rs. 135,222.
