A PIA plane en route from Islamabad to Quetta had an accident due to brake failure at the airport, after which the plane was grounded. The front wheel of the plane was damaged. To repair the plane a Team of Engineers has left Karachi for Islamabad.
According to details, a PIA flight from Islamabad to Quetta was involved in an accident.
During tug-of-war, the tugmaster’s connecting rod broke, damaging the front wheel of the plane, after which the plane was grounded and passengers were evacuated.
PIA spokesman Abdullah Khan while explaining the accident to the Airbus 320 said that the brakes of the tug master had failed and the pressure pin and connecting rod had also broken due to the brake failure.
The spokesman said that due to pressure pin and connecting rod break, the front landing gear of Airbus 320 aircraft was damaged, on which the aircraft has been grounded and a team of engineers has left Karachi for Islamabad to repair the aircraft. The PIA said the passengers were sent to Quetta on an alternative flight PK325.
