According to the details, the PIA spokesperson said that the PIA has decided not to start normal flight operations for Kabul due to low number of passengers. According to the spokesperson, there is no PIA flight to Kabul today (Wednesday). Yes, even the chartered flight is not being operated due to lack of required number.
He said that only special flights were being operated to Kabul. It should be noted that the first flight of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) after the establishment of the Taliban government in Afghanistan went to Kabul on September 13 with passengers and brought them back from there.
After the formation of the new government in Afghanistan, the first flight of the national airline PIA PK6249 arrived at 9:45 local time in Kabul. In this regard, special arrangements were made for Afghan Civil Aviation and local PIA personnel for Kabul Airport. Pakistan’s Ambassador to Afghanistan Mansoor Ahmed and other diplomatic staff also made efforts. Trained airport staff joined duty and posted the name and flight number of PIA at Jabala Kabul Airport.
PIA staff took international journalists to Kabul. The World Bank and a team of international news agencies were brought back. It was the first international passenger flight since the new government took office in Kabul. On the occasion, PIA CEO Arshad Malik said that the purpose of the flight was to promote goodwill in Pakistan and Afghanistan and to strengthen the operation on the basis of humanitarian sympathy. Arshad Malik said that this operation is very important for PIA and the whole world, everyone is looking at us. It is hoped that the operation will be fully resumed soon.
