Lahore: PTI Chairman Imran Khan has said that I do not need the establishment.
In an interview to the British Broadcasting Corporation, Chairman PTI said that he only wants to hold elections in the country and is ready to talk to anyone for that, but he does not need crutches, nor to talk to the Army Chief. Shehbaz Sharif was not invited.
Imran Khan said that there is a statement that I want to talk to the Army Chief. I don’t need an establishment. The party with the people of the country does not need crutches. Being a political man, I will talk to everyone except thieves.
Imran Khan said that the behavior of the establishment made no difference to us. Cases were made against us during the tenure of General Bajwa. There has never been any violence against seniors during custody. I thought that there will be a change when the new chief comes, but the hardships have already increased.
He said that Imran Khan had said that the Supreme Court had ordered to hold elections in 90 days. The President has also announced, but when we hold an election rally, the police come. Vehicles were broken. Water cannons were used and people were arrested. The job of caretaker government is to hold elections. How can they stop it? If elections are to be held, how can elections be held without election campaigns and rallies?
Earlier, in an interview to a foreign channel, Imran Khan said that the government does not want to hold elections because PTI won 30 out of 37 by-elections. PTI is the most popular party in the history of the country and fearing its popularity, the government and its supporters want to disqualify or arrest me.
Imran Khan further said that my life is in danger because the people who tried to kill me are in power. The question is, how can I run an election campaign in these circumstances and how can I appear in the courts? Appeared in courts three times but unfortunately there was no security arrangement.
