Expressing solidarity with Palestine, Palestine Day will be observed across the country today, a protest march will be held up to the UN office in Islamabad, Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser will lead the protest march. Protests and demonstrations are being held.
The UN envoy will be presented with a resolution passed in the National Assembly. The resolution called on the Security Council to take immediate notice of the Israeli aggression and take steps to stop it.
Rallies and protests were also held in different cities yesterday. Workers, trade union leaders and workers participated in the civil society rally from Regal Chowk to Karachi Press Club in Karachi.
The Imamia Students’ Organization also staged a demonstration at the Karachi Press Club, which was attended by a large number of women and children.
On the other hand, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said that despite the severe attacks on Gaza, Israel is losing the media war, the pressure of public opinion is increasing.
