ISLAMABAD: Pakistan welcomed the decision of the UN General Assembly to launch an inquiry into human rights violations in the occupied territories of Palestine.
According to IRNA, Pakistan’s state-run media on Friday announced that while accompanying the “Bolan Bozkar” Turkish President to the UN General Assembly, the Pakistani Foreign Minister also addressed a special session of the Human Rights Council on human rights violations in the occupied territories. .
“Shah Mahmoud Qureshi” has called on the UN Human Rights Council to respond to the Zionist regime’s recent crimes against the oppressed people of Palestine by initiating an international investigation.
He also received a message on Twitter today welcoming the decision of the Human Rights Council to launch an independent inquiry into human rights violations in the occupied territories, including East Jerusalem.
The Foreign Minister of Pakistan emphasized that the country supports the initiatives and proposals of the Council of Rights in the defense of the rights of the Palestinian people and stressed that the United Nations must take practical steps to protect the lives of Palestinians and ensure their rights.
The President of the Seventeenth and Fifth General Assembly of the United Nations also held a joint press conference with the Foreign Minister of Pakistan in Islamabad and said that the inability to resolve the Palestinian issue is credible to the United Nations and the Security Council.
He also described the recent meeting of the UN General Assembly on Palestine as a retaliatory measure after the Bonn Security Council issued a joint statement to help end violence in Gaza and protect Palestinian rights.
“Bolankar Bozkar” met with “Imran Khan”, the first Pakistani minister, and also discussed the importance of adherence to multilateralism at the international level, the Palestinian issue, the Kashmir dispute and the latest developments in the Afghan peace process.
The first Pakistani minister on Wednesday strongly condemned the recent aggression of the Zionist regime in Navargha in talks with the President of the Republic of Egypt and called for full withdrawal of Israeli forces from the occupied territories, including Quds Sharif.
