ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has strongly condemned the recent violence and targeted attacks on Muslims in India and said that the Indian government should conduct a transparent investigation into these incidents and make practical efforts to prevent such incidents from happening again in future.
A statement issued by the Foreign Office said that Pakistan strongly condemns the recent violence and targeted attacks against Muslims in various states of India. Provoked, recent events have revived the horrific memories of the February 2020 Delhi massacre in India.
The Foreign Office spokesperson said that Pakistan urges the Indian government to conduct a transparent investigation into the widespread incidents of violence and intimidation against Muslims and their places of worship, in order to prevent such incidents from recurring in the future. Make a concerted effort, and call on the international community to hold India accountable for its grave human rights abuses against minorities, especially Muslims.
