ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and Russia have agreed on an agreement on the Karachi-Kasur gas pipeline project . According to the report, a series of simultaneous steps will be taken next month to implement the 2.5 billion dollar project. Project will be formally signed on September 17.
A three-day technical session on the 1,100-km-long Pakistan Stream Gas Pipeline project concluded on Thursday, after which a joint statement said significant progress had been made on the project.
The two sides agreed to expedite technical studies and surveys, and agreed to expedite planning phase works, including field surveys, inspections and assessments. Fault also considered RLNG transmission, design parameters, technical features.
Appropriate arrangements will be made to connect the pipeline to proposed underground gas storage projects in Sindh and to the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) gas pipeline crossing point in Multan, the statement added.
