Lahore: After the recent increase in diesel prices, the Railways has decided to increase the fares of all classes of all trains except the Green Line train by 8%.
According to railway officials, the recent 15 percent hike in diesel prices has put an additional burden of Rs 11.725 million on Pakistan Railways per day, making it imperative for the organization to rationalize fares for uninterrupted supply of operations.
According to railway officials, the railway administration has decided to increase the fares of all classes of all trains except the Green Line train by 8% and this increase will be effective immediately.
