Pakistan has implemented a new land border management policy for Iran and Afghanistan to prevent new types of corona migration from its neighboring countries. The new land border management policy will be applicable to pedestrian border crossers.
According to details, the National Command and Operations Center has taken a major decision to stop the new type of corona migration from neighboring countries and changed the land border management policy for Iran and Afghanistan. To prevent the transfer of Corona, the new policy will take effect on the night of May 4 and 5, while the policy will remain in effect until the night of May 20, 19.
The National Command and Operations Center has said that the new land border management policy will be applicable to pedestrian border crossers, cargo, bilateral trade, Afghan transit trade. The new policy will not be applicable.
The COC, while deciding to increase the number of health staff and law enforcement personnel at the border, said that the purpose of increasing the border perimeter is to ensure implementation of testing protocols. Earlier, according to a statement issued by the NCOC, land border management with Afghanistan and Iran was reviewed to prevent new strains of the virus and new mutations. The purpose of the review was to ensure the passage of land and border protocols.
