Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that very comprehensive meetings were held during the Prime Minister’s visit to China. Pakistan also knows who stands by it and China also knows who is its friend in the region. The Prime Minister had meetings with the heads of major Chinese public and private companies, think tanks, we had a thorough discussion on strategic issues and discussed the situation in the region in detail.
According to details, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi in a statement regarding the Prime Minister’s visit to China and its fruits said that the joint declaration at the end of the visit is a manifestation of the success of the visit to China, overall it was a very useful and timely visit. He said that there were very comprehensive meetings during the Prime Minister’s visit to China. The meeting with the Chinese President was of a very comprehensive nature. China knows who is its friend in the region and Pakistan also knows who stands by it.
He further said that Afghanistan was discussed in the meetings, our consultation with China on Afghanistan has been and will continue, it has been decided that a meeting of Afghanistan’s close neighbors will be convened in Beijing at the end of March. Foreign ministers of the Afghan interim government will also be invited.
The Foreign Minister said that we will sit together and work out the strategy for the future. The Spellers cannot see the C-Pack moving forward. The anti-peace forces have targeted the engineers working on the C-Pack projects. Spoilers will never succeed in their plots.
Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that both the countries consider C-Pack as of utmost importance for the development of the region and both the countries are committed to speedy completion of C-Pack projects. We want China to buy surplus agricultural commodities from us.
Referring to India, he said that in order to expose India, a “dossier” was placed before the international community. The international community should take note of India’s nefarious intentions in the light of the evidence. Negative policies of the BJP government are not in India’s own interest. He further said that a large section of people in India are thinking contrary to the thinking of BJP, they think that the BJP government has pushed us to a dead end.
Regarding relations with Russia, Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that our relations with Russia have gradually increased, bilateral relations and the situation in the region were discussed in detail with the Russian Foreign Minister. Imran Khan has been invited to visit Russia. Prime Minister Imran Khan will go to Moscow this month, God willing. Our relations with Russia are also undergoing a pleasant change.
