The Pakistani prime minister has said that the Taliban’s actions after the withdrawal of foreign troops from Afghanistan have nothing to do with Pakistan and that it is not responsible for the Taliban’s actions.
“What the Taliban are doing in Afghanistan has nothing to do with us,” Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan told Afghan reporters, according to the regional office of the Tasnim news agency.
He stressed that Islamabad could not be blamed for the Taliban’s actions after the withdrawal of foreign forces: “We are neither responsible for the Taliban’s actions nor the group’s spokesman.”
According to Dawn News, the Prime Minister of Pakistan added: “Afghan people have a way to choose; Either pursue a US-backed military solution or try to build an inclusive government and political agreement; Of course, the second option is the only solution to the Afghan crisis.
Imran Khan said that the civil war was not in Pakistan’s interest and that the country was not interested in supporting anyone to occupy Afghanistan, adding that neither side was able to take full control of the country.
