He expressed solidarity with the Indian people in a tweet on a social networking site, saying “the Indian people are facing a dangerous wave of Corona.”
“All over the world, including India, pray for the speedy recovery of the Corona victims, while we must work together to meet the global challenge facing humanity,” he said.
The hashtag ‘IndiaNeedsOxygen’ was seen trending in Pakistan yesterday and Prime Minister Imran Khan was urged to send aid to India on humanitarian grounds.
On the other hand, Faisal Edhi, son of well-known social leader Abdul Sattar Edhi and chairman of the Edhi Foundation, in a letter to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, expressed concern over the crisis in Corona and offered help.

Experts say it will take three weeks for the epidemic to reach its peak and that the number of people infected and killed by the virus could still be higher than reported.
The Indian government has come under fire for failing to tackle a new wave of the virus, while the opposition has been sharply criticized for holding election rallies alongside the country’s largest religious festival, Kumbh Mela. Face to face
