Islamabad :
A statement from Foreign Office Spokesman Zahid Hafeez Chaudhry said, “Pakistan condemns the Israeli airstrikes in Gaza, which have killed and injured many innocent Palestinians, including children.” Another barbaric act was carried out during which the basic freedoms of the Palestinians were obstructed and attacks were carried out inside and outside Al-Aqsa Mosque.
A spokesman for the Foreign Office said in a statement that “indiscriminate use of force by Israeli forces against unarmed Palestinians has resulted in deaths and injuries.”
“All human values and human rights laws have been violated,” he said. “Pakistan calls on the international community to stop the indiscriminate use of force against Palestinian citizens,” the spokesman said.
“The only guarantee of lasting peace in the region is the establishment of a viable, independent and sovereign state of Palestine based on a globally agreed strategy, with a pre-1967 border and the capital of Al-Quds Sharif,” he said.
Earlier, Prime Minister Imran Khan had said in a statement that he condemned the atrocities committed by the Israeli forces on the Palestinians at Al-Aqsa Mosque on the 27th night.
“I have also asked Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi to discuss the matter with the foreign ministers of Turkey and Saudi Arabia,” he said.
The Prime Minister said that he had talked to Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman about Islamophobia himself and that everyone should fight together because one country cannot do anything and that is what we are striving for. But work on what has been wronged, then work together on Islamophobia.
It is believed that Israeli operations in Gaza have so far killed 25 out of 9 children and injured hundreds. The Palestinian Health Department said that 9 children were among those killed as a result of Israeli attacks while 125 people were injured. Most of the children are relatives. A bomb blast at an undisclosed location in northern Gaza has killed seven members of the same family, including three children.
