Awami Muslim League chief Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed has said that the great army will never fire on its people, will bring it to the negotiation table and conduct transparent elections.
In a statement on the social networking website Twitter, Sheikh Rasheed said that the rumors ended after the Army Chief’s statement. There should be immediate elections now. If the government will fortify 25 lakh people of Islamabad, then people will come out from within Islamabad and from the hills of Margalla.
The former interior minister said that the use of bullets instead of belts will set a political fire in the entire country. The economy will enter into a dangerous crisis. The people of Islamabad have started putting ration in their homes for fear of being surrounded.
Sheikh Rasheed added that the number of ministers is 75, out of which 22 are non-ministers. Containers cannot block the roads. Stop dreaming of calling the army and imposing Article 245. A big army will never fire on its own people. It will be brought to the negotiation table and a fair and transparent election will be held.
