ISPR paid homage to the 50th Martyrdom Day of Major Shabir Sharif. He said that there is no greater goal than the defense of motherland Martyred.
According to details, Director General of Public Relations (ISPR) of Pakistan Army Major General Babar Iftikhar has paid tribute to Major Shabir Sharif on the 50th day of his martyrdom on social networking site Twitter.
In his message, DG ISPR said that the defense of the country was possible due to the sacrifice of Major Shabir Shaheed. Major Shabir Sharif was awarded Star of Courage for his bravery in the war of 1965. General Babar Iftikhar said that his great sacrifice reminds us that there is no greater purpose than defending the motherland.
It may be recalled that the 50th Martyrdom Day of Major Shabir Sharif Shaheed Nishan Haider is being observed today. On December 3, 1971, he was assigned to occupy Sabona Dam in Indian territory.
