Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry has said that our role is most important for peace and stability in Afghanistan. The Pakistani embassy in Kabul is being welcomed all over the world including the international media.
Speaking exclusively on Afghanistan in the video statement, he said, “Our role is most important for peace and stability in Afghanistan. We are in close contact with all global and regional powers regarding the situation in Afghanistan.” He said that governance in Afghanistan has to be done by the people there and efforts are being made for a peaceful and stable Afghanistan.
The Federal Minister for Information said that the situation in Kabul had made it difficult for journalists, members of international media, IMF, World Bank and various embassy staff to evacuate. However, Pakistan International Airlines had evacuated about 1400 people from Kabul Evacuation facilitated.
He said that so far the Pakistani embassy has issued about 4,000 visas while about 2,000 people have been evacuated from Kabul. It is believed that on August 16, Afghan President Ashraf Ghani and his close associates left the country They had left and their whereabouts could not be determined, while the Taliban leadership had ordered its fighters to enter the capital, Kabul.
It should be noted that after regaining power in Afghanistan, the Taliban said that women would be needed in various departments and sectors, and that women would have a role to play in education, health, the judiciary and other areas.
