Participation in the reception given by the Secretary General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, in honor of the heads of state and government participating in the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
Arriving at the General Assembly Hall, they are taking part in the proceedings of the opening session. The first speech of the opening session is traditionally delivered by the President of Brazil, while the second speech is given by the host country, America.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will spend a busy day today, he will participate in the reception given by the Secretary General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, in honor of the heads of state and government participating in the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly. The Prime Minister will participate in the opening session of the high-level discussion of the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met the President of France, the Prime Minister will hold separate meetings with Federal Chancellor of Austria Karl Nehmer, President of Spain Pedro Sanchez Perez Caste Jun and President of Iran Seyed Ibrahim Raisi.
In the afternoon, the Prime Minister will visit The Times Center and participate in an interview with the editorial board of The New York Times. US special representative on climate change, John Kerry, will meet the prime minister in the evening.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will meet with his Chinese and Japanese counterparts during his visit to the US today and will attend the US President’s dinner.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will address the United Nations General Assembly on September 23, in which he will present the devastation caused by floods in Pakistan and the situation in Kashmir before the world.
Yesterday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif attended the Secretary General’s reception at the United Nations headquarters, where he met the Prime Minister of New Zealand, the presidents of Iran, France and Spain.
