The Foreign Ministers of Egypt and Tajikistan, who are attending the 48th meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), have held separate meetings with Prime Minister Imran Khan.
During the meeting with the Egyptian Foreign Minister, the Prime Minister congratulated on the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations and called for the early finalization of the Transit Trade Agreement. It is in everyone’s interest.
In a meeting with the Foreign Minister of Tajikistan, the Prime Minister reiterated the historic ties between the two countries. The Prime Minister also apprised them of the human rights violations in Indian-occupied Kashmir. In the meeting, the Prime Minister lauded the decision of the United Nations to declare March 15 as “World Day for the Death of Islamophobia” and stressed the need for the OIC to advance the cause of justice for Muslims. Emphasizing the importance of further expanding relations in the economic and trade sectors, Imran Khan said that relations between the two countries were historic and there was potential for enhancing relations between the two countries.
The Prime Minister was also received by the Chairman of the Islamic Development Bank, the Foreign Minister of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Minister of Defense of Azerbaijan.
It should be noted that the 48th meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) is being held on March 22 and 23 in Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan.
