OGRA has proposed to increase the prices of petroleum products by Rs11.50 per liter, high speed diesel by Rs2.40 per liter, light diesel by Rs1.40 per liter and kerosene by Rs1.5 per liter. The notification of price change will be issued in consultation with the Prime Minister.
According to sources in the Petroleum Division, crude oil prices continue to rise in the global market. Due to which OGRA has prepared a summary based on the proposals to increase the prices of petroleum products by Rs. 11 and a half per liter. Proposals for increase in prices of petroleum products have been prepared in accordance with the existing petroleum levy. Prices of petroleum levy may be revised. The decision to increase prices of petroleum products will be taken tomorrow after consultation with the Prime Minister. Product price notification will be issued by the Ministry of Finance.
It was informed in the summary that it has been proposed to increase the price of petrol by Rs11.50 per liter and high speed diesel by Rs2.40 per liter. Similarly, it has been proposed to increase the price of light diesel by Rs 40 paise and kerosene by Rs 1.5 per liter. The Finance Ministry will announce the new prices on July 15, after which the new prices of petroleum products will be implemented tomorrow. It will be from 12 o’clock at night.
