According to the details, OGRA has proposed to increase the prices of petroleum products from July 1. Sources said that OGRA’s summary has recommended an increase of Rs 6 per liter in petrol and Rs 3 in high speed diesel. It has been informed that the increase in the prices of petroleum products is in line with the existing petroleum levy.
It may be recalled that on June 16, 2021, the government had reduced the petroleum levy on petroleum products, reduced the petroleum levy on petroleum products and increased the sales tax on petrol and high speed diesel per liter. The levy on petrol was reduced by Rs 83 per liter and on high speed diesel by Rs 53 per liter. The levy on petrol has been reduced from Rs 4.80 to Rs 2.97 and the levy on high speed diesel from Rs 5.14 to Rs 3.61.
Similarly, sales tax on petrol has been increased by 31 paise per liter and sales tax on high speed diesel by 26 paise per liter. Similarly, sales tax on petrol has been increased from Rs 15.77 paise to Rs 16.8 paise while sales tax on high speed diesel has been increased from Rs 16.9 paise to Rs 16.35 paise. It may be recalled that the government has increased the prices of petroleum products yesterday.
The government has increased the price of petrol by Rs 2.13 per liter, light speed diesel by Rs 2.3 per liter, kerosene by Rs 1.89 per liter and high speed diesel by Rs 1.79 per liter. After the increase, the new price of petrol is Rs 110.69 paise, the new price of high speed diesel is Rs 112.55 paise, the new price of light speed diesel is Rs 79.68 paise, while the new price of kerosene is Rs 81.89 paise.
