ISLAMABAD: The Finance Ministry has issued a notification to maintain the prices of petroleum products for the next fortnight.
The notification issued by the Ministry of Finance states that the government will bear the burden of Rs 30 billion on petroleum products for the next 15 days to provide relief to the people.
According to the notification, the price of petrol will remain at Rs 149.86 per liter, high speed diesel at Rs 144.15 per liter, kerosene at Rs 125.56 per liter and light diesel at Rs 118.31 per liter till March 31.
It may be recalled that Prime Minister Imran Khan, while addressing the nation last month, had announced a reduction of Rs 10 per liter in petrol price and no increase in prices till the budget.
Subsequently, the Ministry of Finance issued a notification to reduce the prices of petroleum products by Rs. According to which the price of petrol and high speed diesel was reduced by Rs 10 per liter, kerosene by Rs 1 and light diesel oil by Rs 5.66 per liter.
After reduction, the price of petrol has been reduced from Rs 159.86 per liter to Rs 149.86, the price of high speed diesel has been reduced from Rs 154.15 per liter to Rs 144.15, the price of light speed diesel has been reduced from Rs 123 97 paise to Rs 118 31 paise. The price of oil fell from Rs 126.56 to Rs 125.56.
