ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan has suspended the notification of de-notification of 32 National Assembly members of Tehreek-e-Insaf, after which by-elections on 27 National Assembly seats have been stopped.
The Election Commission has suspended the notification to de-notify 32 members on the orders of the Lahore High Court. In this regard, the Election Commission said that the notification of de-notification of 27 members on general seats from Punjab was suspended.

The Election Commission confirmed that the notification of de-notification of 5 women members from Punjab was suspended while by-election activities will continue in 3 National Assembly constituencies of Islamabad.
The Election Commission clarified that the decision of the Lahore High Court does not apply to the boundaries of Islamabad.
By-elections on 27 seats of the National Assembly have been stopped, Election Commission
Besides, the Election Commission stopped the by-elections on 27 National Assembly seats after the membership of 27 Tehreek-e-Insaf MNAs and 5 women members on certain seats was restored.
According to the Election Commission, by-elections in 6 constituencies of Rawalpindi and Faisalabad, Khushab, Multan, Wahari, Dera Ghazi Khan, Rahim Yar Khan, Leh and Lahore have been postponed.
According to the Election Commission, the by-elections of Mianwali and Bhakkar have also been postponed until further notice.
