Talking to media after the meeting of the federal cabinet, Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid said that no final decision has been taken yet regarding the Eid-ul-Fitr holidays. He said that the situation in the federal cabinet was discussed in detail. Hui, oxygen and corona vaccines were also considered while the cabinet was taken into confidence on the situation of corona.
He said that the help of the army was sought for the implementation of SOPs and the Pakistan Army was standing by the nation in difficult times. Regarding the Eid-ul-Fitr holidays, the Federal Minister said that no final decision has been taken yet regarding the Eid-ul-Fitr holidays. It is to be noted that a notification attributed to the Ministry of Home Affairs regarding Eid-ul-Fitr holidays went viral yesterday, on which the Ministry of Home Affairs issued an explanation only yesterday and denied the notification.
According to the fake notification, there will be Eid-ul-Fitr holidays from May 13 to 17. However, the Interior Ministry later clarified about the notification. The Federal Ministry of Home Affairs said that the notification circulating on social media regarding Eid-ul-Fitr holidays was fake and there was no truth in this notification. It may be recalled that the Home Ministry prepared a summary of the holidays on the recommendations of the NCOC yesterday. According to the summary, the Eid-ul-Fitr holidays for government employees will be from May 10 to May 16.
A summary of the holidays has been sent to the federal cabinet by the Interior Ministry. The final announcement of the holidays will be made after approval by the federal cabinet.
