Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that Panama scandal came in the previous government, there is no corruption scandal in the current government, he had fulfilled his promise to end corruption in the first 90 days, if no major incident happens then the economy will be better. The public should be informed about a major facility like health card.
According to media reports, a meeting of government and party spokespersons was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Imran Khan.
In a briefing on the Transparency International report, Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry said that there was no mention of financial corruption in the Transparency International report, the report highlighted things related to rule of law. He had fulfilled his promise to end corruption. In the previous government, big financial corruption scandals like Panama came to light while there is no corruption scandal in the current government.
The Prime Minister also directed that the corruption cases of money laundering of Leader of the Opposition and Leader of the Opposition Shahbaz Sharif be further exposed. He said that the people should be made aware of a major facility like health card and also the reports of international organizations on developing economy and economic growth. Prime Minister Imran Khan said that if no major incident took place then the economy would be further improved.
In addition, a meeting was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Imran Khan on reforms in civil law. The Prime Minister was briefed on the reforms implemented during the three-year tenure and the future course of action. The meeting was attended by Federal Ministers Asad Umar, Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Fawad Chaudhry and others. The Prime Minister directed to take all stakeholders into confidence on the reforms in the civil law.
Talking in the meeting, Prime Minister Imran Khan said that the provision of speedy and cheap justice to the people is the top priority of the government. The judiciary is independent in the current era of reforms. Prime Minister Imran Khan said that no government had given any thought to the reform of the old laws. For the first time since 1908, the government was bringing changes in the civil law.
