Islamabad :
National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser consulted with Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani to thwart the no-confidence motion before the vote.
The internal story of the meeting between the Chairman Senate and the Speaker National Assembly on the issue of no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan has come to light.
According to sources, Speaker Asad Qaiser wants to thwart the no-confidence motion by rolling it out . It may be recalled that Sadiq Sanjarani had given a rolling motion as the chairman of the senate three years ago.
Sources said that the Speaker of the National Assembly was holding consultations to reject the no-confidence motion on the basis of the same ruling, however, the Chairman Senate did not give any advice to the Speaker in this regard.
Sources said that the reason for not giving advice is that the rules of the Senate and the Assembly are different on some issues, no speaker has given any rolling in this regard in the past.
According to sources, the National Assembly Secretariat is also not in favor of rejecting the motion on the basis of Senate rolling before voting and the Secretariat has also conveyed its opinion in this regard to the Speaker National Assembly.
