The government has announced that the NCOC will be permanently closed from today following a sharp decline in cases of corona virus in the country and successful vaccination of large population.
Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Reforms and Special Initiatives Asad Umar while addressing a press conference in Islamabad said that considering the number of cases of cod and vaccination in the country, it has been decided that now we are living with this epidemic. It’s time to dump her and move on.
He thanked the entire nation and congratulated them saying that our vaccination rate has reached a very good level and the spread of the epidemic has also decreased, so today is the last day of the operation of the NCOC. .
He said that the success achieved by us in the last two years was appreciated and appreciated by the great institutions and personalities of the world.
The Minister for Planning and Development said that not only the government but we as a nation faced it, all the institutions and provincial governments played their role in it and the federation and the provinces worked together in a good way, all the decisions. It was done in consultation and it was implemented in all the provinces.
He also congratulated the army and the judiciary, saying that there was chaos in the big countries over the ban on code but it did not happen in Pakistan which is due to the judiciary which understood that it belongs to all of us. There is a common problem, so we have to help each other and the policies adopted by the NCOC have been largely implemented by the people.
Asad Omar also appreciated the role of the Ministry of Health and related departments including Ulema, Media and Dr. Faisal Sultan in this regard.
Meanwhile, the Prime Minister said in his message on social networking site Twitter that with the closure of NCOC today, I would like to thank the National Command and Operations Team and its leadership for their professional and national support in combating Code 19. Congratulations on the integrated response.
“As a result, international organizations and celebrities have appreciated our response, calling it one of the most successful developments in the world,” he said.
Dr. Faisal Sultan, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Health, said in a tweet that since the responsibility of NCOC was given to the Ministry of Health, I would like to thank all the colleagues with whom I had the opportunity to work and learn.
He said that it was a highly integrated mechanism which played an important role in countering Code 19 in Pakistan.
Earlier, Asad Omar had said in his tweet that today is the last day of NCOC operation, at present the cases of Corona are very low and vaccination is the highest so now the responsibility is being given to the Ministry of Health.
Asad Omar said that it has been the greatest honor of my life to head the NCOC during the last two years.
It should be noted that the NCOC was formed on March 27, 2020 and played an important role in keeping the nation informed about the Corona virus statistics.
The NCOC had a daily meeting which was attended by Federal Minister for Development, Planning and Special Measures Asad Umar, Special Assistant Dr Faisal Sultan and National Coordinator Major General Muhammad Zafar Iqbal.
