Karachi: The day of Ashura is being commemorated today with religious devotion and respect in memory of the great sacrifice made by the grandson of the Prophet Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and his companions in the field of Karbala for the exaltation of Islam and the truth and righteousness.
According to the details, Zul-Jinah and condolence processions will be held in all cities, towns and cities including Karachi. To ensure security arrangements, Provincial Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon and Saeed Ghani have reviewed the monitoring cell established by Sindh Police at Police Head Office Karachi. Apart from this, he visited different procession routes a day before Ashura day.
The main procession of Yom Ashura in Karachi will leave today (Tuesday) from Nishtar Park.
In this regard, it was further informed that Allama Shahshah Hussain Naqvi will address the assembly. Besides, at the end of Majlis-e-Iza, the main procession led by Butrab Scouts will leave from Nishtar Park, which will end at Imambargah Hosseinia Iraniyan Kharadar through its designated routes.
In the main mourning procession, there will be pilgrimages to knowledge, coffins, images of Zul-Jinah, well-known mourning associations will perform mourning and mourning. Bottles of water and milk have been placed in the main procession routes, while arrangements have been made to distribute niyaz and tabarak.
Police, Rangers and scouts along with other security agencies will be present for the security of the main procession. Apart from Karachi, there will be mourning processions from Lahore, Quetta, Peshawar, Islamabad and other small and big cities, which will end at their destination through their designated routes.
